More Lovely Work at the Misty Mountains Workshops

I conducted another workshop for the Misty Mountains Quilters at Wentworth Falls today.

The ladies have been working very hard on their quilts.  It was amazing to see the variety of quilts with all the different colour schemes chosen.  They are all beautiful in different ways and elicited a lot of oohs and aahs from those present.

Here is a glimpse of the show and tell.

The first photos are of Victoria's quilt. Her fabric choice is very bold and dramatic.

Here is Faye showing her quilt.  Her version is very sunny and happy with a strong yellow background and appliqué features in pink, blue, green and gold.

So beautiful, but she has still not decided on her urn fabrics!

This lovely one belongs to Jill. Her fabrics are soft and her attention to detail is fabulous.  I have some delightful close ups to follow.

This one belongs to Kerry.  She has used lots of different fabrics from her stash of reproduction fabrics.  I love her border stripe in blue cut across the width.  Wonderful!

This one has been made by Jean.  She chose soft blues and golds.  This reminds me of the sea.

Here is Therese with her version.  It was her birthday today so we all sang and ate yummy birthday cake.  She was also given a copy of the new novel called "Longbourn" which tells the story of Pride and Prejudice from the perspective of the servants!  Very appropriate!  Her quilt was nice too! She has used my favourite colour (brown) for her border background with lots of soft golds on top.

This one belongs to Meg.  The colours of her centre are strong and then her hexagons are very soft using French General fabrics and then the next border she is holding up contains some fabrics of stronger value again.  Great planning there.

This one is very fresh with lots of blues on white.  Barbara is a marvel having just had a hip replacement operation.  Well done!

Here is Anne's version made in spectacular Kaffe Fassett fabrics.  Wow!  It is looking just so amazing and of course so completely different.

Thanks for a great day ladies.  Looking forward to the next class.
