Sally Makes It To The Blog

Sally has been coming to my classes for several years now.  Her sewing is very lovely and she likes to have everything just right.

She has been working on her "Rococo" Le Moyne blocks and is setting them in my "Elegant Sampler" setting which places each block on point and surrounds them with a small sash of red and corner triangles of a white fabric with a red spot. Today we laid out the blocks and arranged them in four rows of four. Here they are with some of the red sashing strips laid out. We decided on a cornerstone of green.

The quilt will soon be finished and I am sure it will be gorgeous!  It still amazes me how different a whack and stack method can make blocks cut from the same fabric look. Wow!
