Another "Hunsford" Class Starts

I have decided that the start of my "Hunsford" quilt is great fun!

It is an opportunity to play with 'fussy cutting' stripes and motifs to create secondary patterns within star shapes.

Check out the results from today's class!

First, here are Kerry's shapes all covered and laid out in formation for the centre block.  Kerry is working outside her comfort zone using black and red because most of her quilts contain her favourite colour: green!  Wow, this is going to be stunning!

Kerry brought her completed "Rosings" for show and tell - see, it is green...

Here is Laraine's "Hunsford" centre in blue, black and mustard with some beautiful fussy cuts. The centre star is amazing!!!!

Here is Robin's centre in red and black on a lovely background fabric with little flowers.

This is Kylie's centre which is going to be very pretty in pink, green and black.

Here is a close up of the star:

This is Leanne's centre.  She is using the French General range "Josephine" by Moda.  She has little bees on her centre star and a stunning flower in the hexagons surrounding it. Wow!

This is Robyn's centre in blue and red.  Looking great, reminds me of floor tiles.

Here is Christine's centre with a lovely motif in her star.  She is using the gorgeous combination of pink and brown.

This is Sue's centre.  She is using William Morris fabrics.  Love the hexagons with their bunches of tulips.

This is Dot's centre.   She got lots done and announced that she might even finish this quilt - I will hold you to that, Dot! Looks so good!!!!

Here is a close up of her centre star which makes such a great pattern.

Thanks ladies for a lovely day!
