Lots of Quilts Underway

My Richmond Stitchers held a weekend away at Winbourne, Mulgoa last weekend and I joined them on Sunday to teach some of my quilt designs.

Here is a progress report on their quilts:

Here is Judy's "Rococo" quilt set in my zig zag format, now quilted and bound.  It looks amazing!

Here are Di's whack and stack Le Moyne star blocks all set out to make a 4 x 4 setting for a large Queen sized quilt.

Here is a close up of one of her blocks which are very soft and pretty in pink and green/grey paisley.

Here is Kate's version using a very striking peacock and flower fabric in bright blues and greens on black.  She has set 12 blocks in my "Elegant Sampler" setting and is bordering the quilt in a matching floral border print.

Here is Mary's version with her own Attic Window setting.

Here is Karol's completed "Ode to the Rose" quilt.  She says it has taken her three years to make it but she has made HEAPS of other things in between.  Can it be that long?  Oh well, it is really gorgeous!

Judy and Karol are kindly testing my patterns for my new Block of the Month program.  They have made seven of the blocks so far - some minor changes to the notes and some helpful suggestions will make my patterns more accurate.  Here are their blocks laid out on the floor.

These are Judy's blocks using a variety of reproduction fabrics which she has fussy cut perfectly. Judy is using a light speckled background fabric throughout.  She has not included as much appliqué because the fabrics are already fancy.

Close ups:

Here are Karol's blocks.  She is using a warm, darker background colour for her blocks.  They look quite different, don't they? Karol has included all of the appliqué.

Great work girls!
