More "Hunsford" Work at Pioneer

A number of my regular sit and sew ladies were again working on their "Hunsford" centres today.

Here are some photos of the beautiful work being done and lots of "auditioning" for borders, stars and dots.  The first one is by Glenda with an interesting striped border in black and red with paisley shapes.

Here is Pauline's centre with some very beautiful "fussy cutting" in the centre block creating secondary patterns in the diamond shapes.  She will use the pink and brown border on the right.

Here is a collection of Pauline's stars for the next border:

Lovely striped star:

Here is Sharon's gorgeous quilt centre in blue and brown. The border of a blue flower vine is stunning.

Sharon is also working on another quilt at the moment: a very pretty and fresh version of my "Heartstrings" quilt.  It is getting bigger now and is looking so wonderful.  This quilt is great fun to make  using strips of different fabrics and string piecing them onto a muslin foundation.

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes on my birthday.
