Today's "Hunsford" Class at Pioneer Patchwork

Take a look at the beautiful work my students have been doing on their "Hunsford" quilts.  This was the third lesson in a series of four, so lots of the ladies had completed a lot of work on the centre of the quilt.

It is great to see all the different colour combinations.

Here is Jenny's very beautiful version in dark blue and red with paler blue accents.  She has done a sensational job with fussy cutting of various fabrics to spectacular effect.

Check out the little butterflies in the circles on her dogtooth border: wow!

Here is Julie's version in red, black and mustard. Looking great!

This was made by Christine in gorgeous pink and brown.  The border print was the inspiration for Christine's colour scheme and it has certainly made a wonderfully feminine version of my design.

It is really beautiful!  I love it!

This is Glynn's version of "Hunsford" in red and black.  It is stunning and very rich.  We designed a strip pieced border with mitred corners to surround the dogtooth border.

This is Jan's version in blue and brown with a lovely blue paisley border.  Her stars are fantastic as well.

Jan was especially proud of her "perfect" corner piecing of the sashing strips and star blocks.  Well done!

This is Theresa's centre.   The fabric of the centre star has been repeated in the large tear drop shapes in the cornerstones of her dogtooth border.  It looks so good! 

Here is Laraine's centre in blue, black and gold.  Wow, it is stunning!
