Day One at South Australia Quilt Encounter

I am having a fantastic time at the SA Quilt Encounter.  This is a wonderful week organised by the South Australian Quilters' Guild. It is held every year for a whole week of sewing, fun, eating, laughing and making lots of friends.

Here is the Committee last night at the official Opening.

One of the ladies showed her "Spikes and Specks" quilt which she started making in class at Quilt Encounter last year. She was recently awarded a gorgeous large ribbon for the "Best Use of Colour" award at the Victorian Quilters Guild Show.  Congratulations!

Here is "Pemberley" hanging in my class room.

The girls are hard at work.

Here is Jackie's work from today - excellent!

The girls are able to continue to sew in the classroom until 9pm tonight.  I will see their progress in the morning.
